John Deere model 2010 Key Switch Electrical diagram

I'm needing and electrical diagram for my old key switch (P/N:AT16703) it's for my John Deere model 2010. Does it anyone have one or does anyone know where I could find one, I'm trying to change out my bad key switch with one that I purchased at tractor supply of course they are not wired the same, I have the electrical diagram for the new key switch but not my old John Deere key switch and the new key switch diagram does not tell me where to terminate several wires that were terminated on the old key switch, the wires go to the voltage regulator (2 wires), I believe that I have the other seven wires terminated at the correct place on the new key switch but everytime I try to hook the battery up to my tractor I see and sparks when I go to hook the positive onto the battery. My tractor is reverse polarity in other words the negative goes to the starter and the positive goes to the frame of the tractor (Ground).

What switch did you buy from TSC. They don't show one for your tractor.

It's part number is E7NN11N501AB even though this switch is made for a Ford Tractor model 5000 it should work, they basically made this key switch for any Diesel tractor with Glow Plugs is that not correct?

Ford 5000 diesel doesn't have GLOW PLUGS. This is as close to a wiring diagram as I can locate.

I was able to correctly wire in the new key switch, now I have a new question it refer's to my voltage regulator does the voltage regulator need to be grounded to the frame and keep in mind that my tractor is reverse polarity? Reason that I am asking the voltage regulator mounting bracket that is part of the voltage regulator was broken, they are made of rubber with two small metal peaces built in the middle of the rubber mounting brackets and that's how the voltage regulator was mounted to the frame of the tractor.

Yes irregardless if + or - ground VR requires attachment to tractor frame.It's been a long time sinnce I looked at a 2010 VR but I think body of VR & mounting base has a small woven wire connecting them

Not glow plugs but my 3910 has a single diesel heater in the intake path. It preheats a dribble of diesel fuel from the same line as the injector overflow. It heats with first notch/click of the ignition switch (just before ignition on). Don't know if it "glows" but it sure gets hot quick! :shocked:

I just found it the other day while cleaning around the battery tray. :ashamed: Also found what I think is the "Filter Warning" sensor on the intake tube. It detects a vacuum and illuminates a light on the dash. It's suppose to any way. Mine came with a funky home-made dash. The repro dash units don't show this indicator but it does have a bulb slot for it.

Irregardless Ford Thermostart is not glow plugs. Glow plugs screw into cyl head & thermostart is in intake air port.
