Just wondering if anyone has replaced the water pump on a liquid cooled Kawasaki I looks like I have to pull the engine because it's on the underside of the engine

Did you mean LX279 ?

Do you have the service tech manual? will have more detail than the operators manual, and worth getting if you are doing work yourself.

To me, looks like you can get at it by removing the radiator and working from the top of the engine.

Re: John Deere LX279

Yes it is an LX279 sorry From looking at it It looks like it's on the bottom of the engine I have the rad off and the top shrouds I haven't looked at the tech manual yet as I just downloaded it Just wondering if anyone out there has replaced one and if there is anything I should watch out for when doing the job

You might be able to edit your original post title too.

From what I see, below the radiator is the air duct which encloses the fan, and suspect below that fan is the water pump (item #28).
Will be interesting to see what you find out when digging into it further. Keep us posted with what you find out.
