Rims John Deere 870 wider front tires?

Greetings,
I have a JD 870, 2WD with the thin 3 rib ag tires that sink every time I try and use my front loader. I was wanting to replace the front rims and tires only. I found some on ebay but seller can't tell me if they with fit my tractor. They are described as follows:

"John deere 750 790 850: TWO 25/8.50x14 Titan John Deere 4 Ply Turf Tires on John Deere 6 Hole Wheels, 3 3/4" pilot hole, 6" bolt hole."

Anyone have any idea if these would work? Thanks

Do they sink in the soil or squat when loaded? The turfs will typically squat under load, and I've personally had a lot of flats with them. On the other hand, they are very soft, so they will float over soft soil better. The rib tires also act almost like a rudder and steer the tractor better too.

Its a little hokey, but you could try running light truck tires on the front for better flotation, depending on your rim size. You'll have plenty of load capability and they can be pretty durable. But like I said, pretty bad looking.

We did the wide tire thing on a JD 2020,,
luckily, all we had to do is borrow the tires off a silage wagon, the bolt pattern was the same.

The 11.00 X 15 tires made a dramatic difference in how the 2020 operated with the loader,,

The narrow tires were tossed, and new 11 inch wide tires were purchased for the silage wagon,,

According to my old JD brochures, those will fit your 870. Certainly worth going to take a look.
