John Deere 750 hydraulic issues

Deere's J20C (or equivalent) UTF, Universal Tractor Fluid, is likely what your Operator Manual recommends. But what you have should be ok for light work. UTF has additional additives for the high stress contacts between transmission gears for example.

As Wiinston noted, when Maveric finds your post he can likely explain in more detail.

NAPA Hydraulic Fluid, Agricultural, SAE 20W, 5 Gal. I changed it about 3 months ago but it has not been used

Oh no in a big way.

NAPA and others are now in class action lawsuits due to inferior Ag hydraulic fluid. Many tractors have either failed or are broken from using the fluid.

It's very possible your high pressure is from this fluid.

Do a complete hydraulic drain, clean the filter (if reusable) or change the filter, flush the entire system with fresh clean diesel, and then only buy J20C to refill that meets specification, NEVER compatible with J20C ! Caterpillar TO-02 and Yanmar TF500 or TF500A are the J20C fluid too.

I'm super happy you took notice of this before things BROKE ! Glad you parked the machine. You are ahead of the game.
