Is it true that an FEL for this model would be exceptionally difficult to handle and steer without front wheel drive and power steering, which our tractor doesn't have? We were told by the dealer not to put a FEL on unless we had these features. Has anyone had experience with this model without power steering or 4WD while using a front end loader? Would it be worth the cost of upgrading our 670 for this purpose? Thanks!

I had a 670 for a few years. Nice little tractor!
However, it is pretty light. If you're planning on using the FEL strictly for loose materials (mulch...stuff like that), you could probably get by without 4WD (by using the differential lock).
Lack of power steering would make steering with a load rather difficult, however. If could be done, and if you don't expect to use the loader too much, it would probably be OK.
One thing you will want to do is raise the pressure in the front tires...that will help steering too.
Again, the tractor is pretty light...make sure you have adequate ballast on the rear if you install a loader.

I love my little tractor but it sounds like it's time to upgrade to something heavier and a little more versatile. Too bad, it's been a tough little tractor! Tere
