I recently purchased a 650 4wd tractor, it has impressed me with its power for its small size. I am currently using 5ft implements on this tractor is it to much for it am I indanger of damaging the tractor or the hydraulics. The box blade I'm using weighs about 450lbs and it works it like it isnt even there. Just curious if I need to go right away and invest in 4ft implements?

Nope, run the implements you have...

Odds are, you'll run out of traction with that small tractor before you run out of power. If this happens, you may want to go for a smaller (48") box blade or other implement.

Since you have 60" implements...did they come with the tractor? If so, you know they've been used successfully in the past with that 650.

It came with some 4ft implements just no blade I had the 5ft with my old tractor. It will pull it full of dirt no problem I was mainly worried about the lift. Still getting use to what its capable of.

Before I sold my 650 I ran a 5 ft. tiller on it. Well one day when I was tilling I ran over a scaffold plank that was about 8” under the ground. It chopped that plaque up into little pieces and never missed a beat. That little 2 cylinder diesel has some balls to it. The hydraulics’ will handle that with out a problem. The only thing I would recommend is to install some front weights if you don’t have a loader. Even with the 4wd it will pick the front end off the ground If your not careful.

I used to have a 650 and I ran a 6ft backblade and a 6ft rake. The going was a bit slow, but it managed. I would definatley not go to a 6ft boxblade. Not because of the weight, but because of the power and traction needed to pull it.
