I have a John Deere 6430 2012 premium with 1367 hrs It has had a hydraulic noise in the cab from new. It sounds like one of the valve levers is been held on with out any hoses engaged. The John Deere Dealer has not been able to fix this . Does anybody have any idea as to what this may be.
Dealer has checked the oil pressure and replaced the air conditioning pump in an effort to fix this problem to no avail

How do you know it is not normal? Have you been in the exact same machine without the noise? Hard lines [steel] are notorious for transmitting noise so maybe the fix is a rubber line from the pump to the valve. Harmonic noise can be a hard problem to fix but it can be done. If a like machine does not have the noise then find someone who is good with hydraulics to help you. CJ

Hi thanks.
The Dealers mechanics say it is not normal and that this is the only one that does this.
I recently contacted the dealer to give me a price to trade up to a 6125R premium cab and the appraiser that came to value it wanted to know why we were selling it as it was in an as new condition until he got in the cab and drove it, then he understood.
After this visit the service manager said that they would come and take the cab off to try and find the problem. He thought a hydraulic line may be rubbing against something.
I was wondering if someone had had similar issues and had any ideas

Sounds like a valve is stuck "open" and it's bypassing. I would isolate the sound. Does it stop momentarily when you lower the 3 point hitch? Do you have the 3 point hitch lever all the way "up"?

If one of the SCV is stuck, would putting a hose in a loop from the two couplers isolate it? I am thinking that might allow fluid to return to tank rather than pushing fluid thru the relief valve. If that is what is happening. Might be an easy way to check, eliminate, or confirm the SCVs are the problem.

Have removed hydraulic hose to front end loader and seems to have reduced the noise
