I am a John Deere fan and I need to purchase another tractor. I bought a Kubota SVL75 and have been really impressed with it. I am thinking I should look at Kubota tractors before I do the deal. I am pretty much settled on the John Deere 6115D tractor. 118 hp - 95 PTO. Cab, MFWD, loader, etc.

What should I consider in the orange line up?

Thanks,
D.

the kubota M 125 or M 135 would be close to what your looking at in hp or a tad bigger.

Cool deal. Ill check them out.

I have heard the m 108s or something along those lines is one I should consider also.

I am going to talk to my Kubota dealer tomorrow.

Thanks ,
D.

I'm sure some here has one and will disagree but from what I've been told the 108s is bottom of the barrel. My dealer won't even order one.

From what I've seen on the Kubota website the new 125/135GX series looks very nice.

I have heard the same. I hear they are a tad more popular now because you can still get them with little emission equipment on them.

Check the weight between the two as well. In this size tractor the more weight will make for a better ride and better pulling performance. Lighter tractors bounce more in rough fields. About the only complaint I generally see about Kubota's larger tractors is that they are rougher riding then the heavier competition.

Looked on Kubotas website and they have a 110GX that is 96 pto hp and looks like sticker is about 70k, the 126GX is 108 pto hp and stickers about 78k. It lists shipping weight with standard tire as: 9216 (110GX) and 10,373 (126GX). I would guess that wet weight of the tractors with fluid in the rear tires would add another 3-4000 lbs to that number and not sure how many weights can go on the front. Look at the specs on the Kubota site, there is some useful info there.

Looking on the John Deere site it list shipping weight for the 6115D as 9,390 lbs so it is about the same as the Kubota.

The Kubota comes standard with a 24F/24R transmission where as the Deere has a 9F/9R tranny and I don't think from the site there is an option with more speeds.

Hydraulic output: Kubota is 18.7 (110GX) & 20.4 (126GX) and Deere is 18.4 GPS. So again about the same.

3 pt lift, Kubota 6834 lbs is standard & 9447 lbs is optional, couldn't find the spec for Deere.

Purely from the specs they look like very comparable tractors with the transmission going to Kubota but really the best thing you could do is go operate them back to back and see which one fits you better as I'm sure either would be great.

Hope this helps, I was bored and felt like checking these out.
