I hope that I have posted this in the right category and apologize if I didn't. I am having some issues with a hi cycle sprayer that I got a while back and will give everyone a rundown of what is going on with it so hopefully I can find out what is going on. When I got the machine it cranked fine and ran fine but however it would cut off in the field if I ran it for an hour or two. When it cut off I would shut everything down (including the ignition) and wait a minute and then crank it back up (did this to see if it was a circuit breaker problem and I think it was). I took it back to the field to finish spraying and it ran fine for 2 days: didn't cut off once or miss a beat. Now I am back at it once again; the other day I cranked it up and ran it to flush the tank some and it cut off while it was running. I waited for a minute to let the circuit breaker reset and guess what; IT WOULD NOT CRANK. I got out of the cab and was looking at the wiring mess that is on this machine and trying to regain my religion and I heard a loud kerthunk come from the cab and when I heard it I immediately said I bet it will crank so I went and tried it and sure enough it started right up. After talking to a mechanic at John Deere he said that there are breakers in the cab to the right (which I cannot find). My question is this;what could the kerthunk have been that was in the cab. Are there any types of relays that could make a loud noise and also are there any aftermarket wiring harnesses available for that machine? Any help would be greatly appreciated.:confused2:
