Just picked up a 6 ft John Deere back blade for 150.00. Seems like a fairly heavy blade or I'm just getting old.
Here are some pictures feels like well over 300 lbs any info will help.

It's definitely a well built blade. especially when you compare it to a generic farm store brand that costs twice as much new. I would sand blast or otherwise strip it, primer and paint it and have a nice shiny, like new blade. I also subscribe to the heavier the better when it comes to box and back blades...the weight really comes in handy when it comes to digging in an pushing/pulling and the blade not riding up over the material. Of course the heavier it's built, the more durable it is as well. I think generally, $150 is top dollar for an older used 5-6' back blade but in this case, I don't think you got hurt at all.

Around here that would be on CL for $300. Most used prices I see are twice those in serious farming country. Too many hobby farms, maybe.

Thanks for the info everyone. When I checked the model no John Deere has the 240 listed as the economy model I would hate to see the heavy duty model.
Just got it hooked up today it has to be close to 400 lbs. It's allot nicer than my 5 ft blade for less money.
