John Deere 5310 turns over fine but won't start

Thanks will try in am.So the sensor at the thermostat neck should not have continuity thru the two wires?

Just unplug it and try to start it. If it starts, that is the problem.

Ok unpluged,started right up.Kind of mind blowing,the cold sensor would be normally open until it faults then 12 volts is sent to fuel shutoff to kill it.Thankd for the help,a lot better than the two other options!Wheh,sigh of relief!

They made a fortune at the dealership unscrewing and screwing in a new sensor and a .25 cent fuse.!!
And charging 1000.00 for parts, labor and pickup and delivery fees.!!

Yes and probably a month to do it.I’ve been lucky doing most myself with help from this site!
