I just did the annual maintenance on our old 1958 vintage JD530 - the last of the famous JD B series.
Checked the fluids, added gas, charged the battery and it started right up and settled down to idle. Ready to go to work.
All the hydraulics work fine, no leaks. Power steering is a marvel.
It's a brute of a tractor, pulls an 8 foot Category II "Big Rhino" blade without even noticing. Thirty hp, powerful loader, wide front, and around 6000 pounds...I'm guessing at the weight, but it's a heavyweight.
Does anyone else have a 530?
