A little disappointed with the 2012 5093E I just bought..I would be interested in hearing from others regarding this model..pros and cons....

Air seems to be okay now..In shop twice for a.c. issues..First time they said it was a bad expansion valve...Two days later the compressor would not even come on..Back to the shop where they replaced a fan clutch and some blown seals. Now I'm just hoping there aren't freon leaks after system being exposed to the high pressures created when fan clutch goes out..Hydraulics run hot but I'm told that's normal..Engine smoked excessively but less now after running several different kinds of injection cleaner through system.. Annoying vibration sound coming from gear selector repaired by dealer..Turbo whistles at times but not at others..At least I think it's the turbo..Cab door has lever that must be pulled at the same time the door is pushed in order to get out.. Unlike Kabota the gear selector and range selector have no slot that indicates what gear/range the machine is in..Radio case/holder is at rear of cab on which I hit my head when I lean over to look at the right side of my 10 foot mower..Cannot shift in to 4WD without stopping.. Turnbuckles instead of telescoping square tubes on lift arms..Did I mention rattling noise that can be heard from rear of tractor..Uses lots of fuel...really lots...I will say though this tractor has great power.. 
Well sounds like most is fixed. You will get gears figured out. Lower seat maybe so you don't hit head? Give door handle time to break in? They do seem very HD compared to other brands that I feel like I would pull off if not careful. You can get telescoping tubes from dealer, 700 bucks. My service guy warned me smoking is from weekend warriors babying it, he said run it, its what its for. I can't help on the rattling noise.
There is no perfect tractor, they all have different issues. That's why deciding on one is so **** hard. I hope she starts treating you better, especially since I just chose green. I had orange, ppl act like its made of gold. Its not. Had qwirks of its own. Slamming other brands won't make you feel better, but knowing other tractors have qwirks/issues might. Give her a chance. I agree with you on every single point... I could make an even longer list of things about the tractor I like...I've added telescoping mirrors and a radio and I'm even figuring out the turnbuckles are really not so bad...The cab is nicer than the Kubota and chances are once I am more accustomed to this tractor I'll love it...Breaking up with my Kubota after 12 years is just so difficult.
After a lot of going back and forth with the dealer the John Deere warranty guy for eastern Canada came out to the farm today and took it for a drive. He said the noise was definitely not normal. He agreed to fix it under warranty because I complained about it while it was covered and the issue was not resolved. They aren't sure what part of the transmission has a problem yet but I will keep you posted.
If you have any warranty left I would get it in if you are experiencing the same problem. I didn't notice the noise in mine until about 50 hours, but it has gotten louder and louder. Now at 700 hours it's not just the high pitched ringing, but also some gear noise at lower rpm's as well.

Wow! I'm surprised they are going to make good on the warranty..Good for you! I wish I knew exactly what yours was doing.. Not sure mine is as obvious/bad as yours..My earlier complaints have I hope been resolved although I still don't understand whey the hydraulics run as hot as they do..(180 degrees Farenheit)..A. C. is working now and engine is not smoking as bad..The obnoxious vibrating/bearing noise that was coming from the gear selector has been corrected I guess..He said it was something about a harmonic imbalance and was a known issue with John Deere..Anyway it is not doing it now but I do still have that whistling noise at times coming from the Turbo I assume..Good luck and please keep me posted on your service...
