john deere 5055 coolant gauge issues

I am reposting this question,
I have a 2010 0r 11 5055 that the coolant gauge will go no further to the right than barely in the green. Has anyone else had this issue? I have cleaned the negative wire on the battery ground and it made no difference. However this did correct the fuel gauge reading as it was doing the same thing. I can check the gauge but I cant figure out how to get the dash cluster off. I am also willing to change the sending unit , I just wanted some input if any one else has had this issue.

I also have this problem on a 2004 JD 4310.

I had a similar issue on my 4300. When I replaced the water pump after it failed, I found that a previous owner had removed the thermostat. It always ran cold until the water pump seal failed and leaked the coolant, then it went to hot. Was surprised to find the thermostat missing, but it did explain why it ran cold on the gage.

Like President Reagan said... Trust, but verify. Use another temp probe to see what the engine coolant temp is.

I fixed this by replacing the coolant sending unit located on very back top of head.
