Hello,
I recently bought a John Deere 494 corn planter. I was just a plain shoe planter but I bought disk opener attachments for it. The shoes that are used for the disk openers are totally different than the originals and one of them was broken. I looked on the John Deere parts website but the disk openers they showed were older models. They had different shoes and different bearings. (These disk openers have sealed bearings. The ones in the book did not.) does anyone have any Idea where I can get a new shoe? Also in the planter manual it says that in order to use the markers for 30" rows I need an attachment for the marker. Can someone tell me what that is and where I can get it?
