Hey guys I'm new to the platform and looking for info on a Deere 4720 open station. I recently bought this tractor and one of the first things I noticed is that when mowing for more that 30 minutes it blows hot air back on your feet, mainly the left side since this is where the turbo and exhaust manifold are. Its an uncomfortable amount of heat and doesnt seem right to me. Almost seems like its needs someking of heat shield or something. Anyone have any insight?

When I really notice the heat blowing on my right foot on my NH TC33D, it's often a sign the screen in front of my radiator is starting to clog up. I'm not really sure why that is: It would seem I'd be getting less air flow (though maybe hotter?) They temp gauge is still right in the middle of it's range - though it does make me wonder if it's stuck, since I haven't seen it over the middle of its range in quite some time.

Its common for open station tractors to blow lots of heat on you. Its one of the reasons Kubota puts small shields on the front of the 60 series platforms, keeps heat away from your feet.

That heat is normal on the Deere 4720 open station due to the turbo and exhaust location. It can be reduced by installing the OEM heat shield (part #LVU20228). Also, keep the radiator and intake screens clean to prevent extra heat buildup.
