John Deere 445 power steering leak/repair

Has anyone rebuilt one of the AM147176 cylinders? The early model 445s had short cylinders and later models longer ones.

Cylinder is stupid expensive from a variety of sources. Does anyone have seal info? I realize some work to cut the end of the cylinder and reweld but ...

Consider taking it to a regular hydraulic ship and see if it can be economically rebuilt by them. It may not be much more than just buying the parts.

See if Surplus Center doesn't have a cylinder that would work and weld on the ends from the old John Deere cylinder

Appreciate the posts ... I have nothing to lose with the current cylinder ... leaks bad.

Will disassemble and try to identify seals and move on from there
