I recently rebuilt the engine on my 425 John Deere and I tried to get the wiring back the way it was but must have done something wrong because now when I turn the key to "on" the starter turns. Somehow I also seemed to by-pass the brake pedal safety switch also. There appears to be only one way the wiring plugs can be plugged in. Anybody got an answer or a wiring diagram?

I found the answer and thought I'd post it in case anybody else has this problem. The problem was a stuck starter relay, k1 , which is on the circuit board under the dashboard on the right side of the tractor. I pecked on it and it unstuck and the tractor starts normally now, but I'll probably have to buy a new relay in the future.
