found 4105 4x4 with loader and canopy only 13 hours at dealer, 19,500 , dealer said original price was close to 25,000; does 19,500 sound like a good price and what would be a good 6 or 7 foot cutter for it, just cutting fields 1-2 foot grass weeks thanks

JWB,
$25K is a bit high. I'm in Ohio and the highest I've seen a 4105 w/ FEL (300cx in OH or IN), has been $22,900 maybe $23,900 max. If he sold it for $25K then he made a nice profit on that sale!!!!!!!!!!!

I've seen several ads for $20K "on sale." Are you using a finish mower or a brush hog? FM rides on its own wheels. Not sure about the ability to handle a 6 or 7 ft brush hog.

Good luck.

i don't know which mower to get only cutting 1-2 foot high weeds and grass, but with the 40 acres i'd like to get as wide as i can afford thanks

I got a quote about a month ago for a new 4105 with 300cx loader. The base price for the tractor alone was $19,459. Add in a 300cx for $4,337. Total list price was $23,796. The first price the dealer offered was $20,950.

I ended up not pursuing this further for a couple reasons. One was the 2-speed hydro transmission; the other was the engine torque.

For the transmission, I thought I had seen a previous post here from someone talking about a 3203 which they said had the same/similar transmission (I don't know for sure, repeating what I read) and talked about it struggling up hills in high range. Now the 4105 has seriously more HP, so I'm not sure that would really be an issue.

For the torque, I have been also looking at a 3520. The 3520 and 4105 (and the 3720 for that matter) seem to share a similar 91 cu. inch Yanmar engine, and all have a turbo.
3520: 37/30HP, 71 ft-lb
3720: 44/35HP, 84 ft-lb
4105: 40/32HP, 59 ft-lb
Almost seems like a mistake?

I've also found it very frustrating trying to look at a 4105. I even called JD to find out if any were at local dealers (having driven around and looked at a few dealers without seeing any). They told me they couldn't, and I sort of gave up.

It really looks to me like they've put more HP, a different transmission, larger tires, and a couple less features (no cruise control, somone said no glow plugs?) in a 3x20 frame. If you end up getting one, or any experience with it as you're checking it out, please let the rest of us know. Good info seems to be hard to come by.

The price seems high as others have pointed out...JD now has zero financing for 48 months on NEW JD equipment...make sure this is not treated as a used tractor...or make sure you get a NEW tractor warranty on it and new tractor financing...

with increased hp and torque looks like 3720 would be better choice, is it built on smaller frame ? , does it have cruise control, and is it more expensive thanks
