We have a 2021 John Deere 333G Skid steer that keeps shutting off at higher rpms, and we can't figure out why. We replaced all filters, primary and secondary fuel; and purged system as explained in service manual. We had some debris in the tank from a saddle tank that manifested itself in the filter, so we changed all the filters, did the upgraded pickup line, drained some fuel from the tank to get any sediment in the bottom of the tank out, but it keeps shutting down when we go over 2000 rpm's with no codes. The only other thing I can think of is the lift/transfer pump. The machine runs fine under 1600 rpm, so I'm at a loss. I changed all other filters too; inner and outer air are included in the change-out. The new pickup has the screen I was told would help, but no joy :(. Any direction would be a great help

That would be my guess. There may be debris in the pump restricting diaphragm movement and/or something that won't pass through the ports. Is the lift pump mechanical or electric? If electric, testing the pump would be a piece of cake. I don't know the specs but it should fill a quart jar in short order. You might also be able to detect trash in the jar.

It’s definitely electric, and I think the pump is before filter, which would seem to be problematic since it would get debris in it before going through the primary filter

Going to grab a pump today. I was curious, is the pump pulling fuel through the filter first, or does it go through the pump first, then the filter. I can't tell yet as I will need to move the primary filter to even see the hoses. This machine is a DEF machine, and is very tight on that side. I will try not to move the DEF control box if I don't have to. Thx again!

The fuel system diagram shows the pump pulls fuel through the first filter. I wasn't aware of this until I looked at the diagram. My Kenbota pulls fuel straight from the tank and then pumps the fuel through the fuel filter.

Edit: I'll also mention I'm on my third fuel pump and it looks just like the JD version--Only cheaper. ;)

Update here. So, I replaced the pump, checked the lines (all clear fuel), pulled the primary filter to check for any more debris, cleaned all vents (even left them open while I tested the system) It fires right up and will idle as long as I want, and I even let it idle for about 30 mins with no issues. When I run it up to like 2200, it will run fine and then it still dies. I am not at a loss 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️. What else can I check? The fuel looks very clean and seems to be clear all the way to the primary and secondary filters
