John Deere 2520
Hello,
This is my first post and I come to you in the middle of a blizzard with a problem . Our John Deere 2520 bucket will not lift. It will curl and drop but not lift. You can hear the SCV put a load on the engine when you pull the lift bar back but it does nothing. Any clues on how to fix it?

Unplug and reset the QD's.

It still does the same thing :-(
When you say reset do you mean just make sure they are fully seated?

Just unplug and replug.

Your QD could be bad and not usable.

Check it out by removing the QD and use union couplers.

You can also remove the hose off the cyl and see if fluid is passing through the QD out the hose when you activate the lever.

Well that's not going to happen today. No way to get any couplers anyway. Just hoping it is not the SCV

Quick question do you know the color codes for the John Deere FEL for a 2520? I could at least reverse the couplings for raise and lower and get the bucket up so i can move some snow.

What JJ said . Shut down . lower everything , wiggle the levers to bleed off pressure . Pop connections lose and make sure they lock in firmly . If that helps you could thank JJ , or be one of those individuals that never responds .

If it like my 2320 with 4 connectors in a square pattern, I think the two upper connections are curl and the two lower are raise/lower. Try it. No harm in misconnnecting. It just won't work. (Guess how I know that.)

No idea if that is directed as a slam or not but I am grateful for help no matter what.

I had the same problem once on my tractor, the couplers looked seated ,but a friend covered the hose end and pushed it against the deck to release the pressure and then re-set them and the loaded then worked . I think JJ could be correct that they really aren't seated good or that they are defective.
