Hi folks, I’m new to bigger tractors, only had/have a 1948 Ford 8N. Last year I bought a JD 2350 (65hp diesel, 55hp at PTO) with a 245 loader. It has no stabilizers for the lift arms. I ran it this way with multiple 3pt attachments, including heavy duty brush hog, 3-btm. Plow, back-blade, heavy home-made carryall for logging stuff etc. and I did that because I thought as long as the implements didn’t rub the tires it was ok. Probably not. Now I noticed that both lower arm pins at the transfer case are leaking fluid. I have heard that it’s a common problem with JD tractors, but now I’m wondering if having those implements swinging back and forth put undue stress on those pins. I don’t know if I should put stabilizer bars once I get the leaks fixed and what would be the best stabilizes to use. Looks like there are holes at the base of the trumpets and there are triangular-looking tabs on the outer side of the lift arms with holes where they could probably be attached. Do you have to have stabilizers? Could not having them have caused the problem? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
