New to the site, hope someone can help. I purchased a JD 2210 with a front snow blower. Throws shear pins to beat the band. If I have it in float mode and the blower goes lower than the front wheels, I get a terrible vibration. Also happens if I don't use float and put some weight on the blower. When it is tillted up the vibration goes away. I am assuming the vibration and shear pins are related. It only throws the pins at the second stage.

Any input would be appreciated.

Might have some resistance where the auger contacts other steel. You really need a second person to sit in the seat (or some weight) so you can see what is happening. It doesn't seem like you are experiencing this since it has nothing to do with shear pins but vibration can be due to a driveshaft problem. And, welcome to the forum!

I take it that this is the 54" blower. Have you considered increasing the size of your skid shoes to help float the blower? I have a 47" blower on my 322 and got larger shoes thru my dealer. They helped. If your dealer can't help consider removing your present set and have them remade with a larger skid plate. Your float setting can also be adjusted. Maybe it's exerting too much down pressure. I don't have that problem but I've also found that a brief warm-up of your hydraulic system will help with the float setting.
Is your second stage shearing pins because it's binding on the body of the thrower? Sounds like something is not assembled properly. Or something is loose.
Hope this helps.

hi
I have the same problem that you have and I drill the bolt to the
next size I don't have any problem now.
before if I push the blower to hard it would sher the bolt's all the time.

I haven't had excessive shearpin failures, but a possibile cause of snowblower vibration in general is if the 6 u-joints of the 3 driveshafts are not all in sync. Before I found this out I had vibration that would vary a lot with lift angle, afterward, much smoother and not varying with lift angle. If you have CV-joints, which I understand some snowblowers have, u-joint synchronization would not be an issue.
