Hi All,
I have a 2005 John Deere 2210 tractor that has developed a couple leaks and I'm looking for advice for the best way to repair them.
The first leak, which is pretty significant, is coming from the top of the Power Steering Valve (See pic and diagram). It appears to be coming from the top on the left side, pushing fluid down the side where the plates meet, and running down the front of the mounting plate. In looking at the exploded view diagram, their looks like a Seal is mounted in the upper left side bolt hole. Is this a common leak? I ordered the seal (or packing as JD calls it) and looks like that I can replace it by removing the bolt.
The second leak, is coming from the front 4wd PTO input on the diff (see diagram). It's leaking from the shaft on the diff. Again, i ordered the two collars and the outer bearing, hoping this will resolve the leak. Has anyone done this repair and if so, can it be done without removing the plate from the diff? The JD service techs said yes, but i figured I ask the pro's here instead.
Any help would appreciated!
