John Deere 2210 Power Beyond Installation -- Any Guidance?

Hi All,

I've got a 260 backhoe I got a great price on, but I still need to purchase the subframe and power beyond hydraulics.

I'd like to try and do the installation myself, but so far I've had real trouble finding instructions on how this works. All I have been able to find is the following posts:

Unfortunately, none of these are for my particular tractor (a John Deere 2210), and include quotes like "the instructions were missing" or "the instructions were terrible!"

This leaves me a little concerned. I'm hoping I can get ahead of the game by finding a thread or write-up that someone has done (preferably with pictures) to illustrate how to do all this. Or, maybe I'll do a bunch of research and conclude that it's beyond my abilities.

Anybody have some pointers on this?

Here's a pointer - Get some help! Tractors are not all delivered with the same hydraulic options, and don't always match the pictures in the instructions. The instructions that come with factory add on kits such as this are usually intended for use by personnel with proper tools and knowledge of the equipment. I suspect that if you met the criteria you wouldn't be here asking questions. Although you will no doubt get plenty of advise here, and most of it will be helpful, you will most likely find yourself at some point as frustrated as the individuals in the afore mentioned posts. I believe you can get where you need to be, just be aware that the directions probably won't answer all you questions, and won't explain everything in terms that make sense to you.
