It appears I have what is to be a common problem on a early 70's 2030. - no hydraulics for loader, 3-point or power steering

Changed and cleaned ALL filters, new front end hydraulic pump. PTO works

My son and I don't have the resources to split the tractor to dive into it so I have a few questions.

Is there a work around to just make the the loader work?

Is there anyone here that is located in NW Washington who might want to do a project?

Is there any resale value? I can arrange transport on the West Coast

I'll take a wild guess frt hyd pump coupler is good since frt pump has been replaced recently. Has hyd oil suction screen been checked/cleaned? Closed center hyd's such on your tractor require good diagnostics procedures before any hyd components are replaced. Does your tractor have hyd IPTO or hyd hi-lo? What type valve controls FEL(ind or scv)? Yes tractor & loader have some resale value but obviously not as much value if it was operating properly.

There is a woodruff key on the shaft that the hydraulic pump runs on. On my John Deere 2020 that key sheered so under pressure the pump wouldn't work. Also, there is a screen type filter in the pump - make sure it is clean and installed properly and as Jim said, make sure the big hydraulic oil suction screen is clean.

Don't believe splitting the tractor would do any good - if you have no hydraulics then more than likely it has to be an issue with the pump. That pump coupler, with the woodruff key, is a known problem.

As I previously stated the key to solving closed center hyd failure is GOOD DIAGNOSTICS. I doubt ""newly installed frt hyd pump"" that evidently replaced oid pump that wasn't the hyd problem is at fault either.

It could be internal. TxJim asked about Independent PTO and Hi/Lo transmission, both of which have internal lines that can/do break, bleeding off hydraulic supply from transmission pump to the front pump.
There are more things to check, but waiting for more information that TxJim asked about.

One other possible issue, again comes down to diagnostic work, but an air bubble in the system could be interfering with fluid flow. You mention replacing the front hydro pump.
When the hydraulics quit working, was it all at once? A slow fade of speed of movement and strength of lifting weight? Did the 3ph and FEL act the same when quit.
These are just a few details that assist in providing you with suggestions of where to look while diagnosing your hydraulics.
