John Deere 185 Kawaski 17 hp will not start

Started it up and pulled out of the garage and turned it off to fill with Gas. When I tried to restart nothing. No Crank at all. No click. Dash lights come on. Changed starter and silinoid changed battery and cables and changed the starter switch still nothing. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have a loose wire. Check both ends of the pos and neg cables as well as any other ground wires on the frame.
Check the wires at the ignition switch. Check fuses and fusible links.

Same motor in my F-525. Check parking brake pedal fully applied and latch lever engaged, weight on the seat and mower pto is off. If that doesn't fix it, rap the starter solenoid with a small hammer. Mine does the same thing. Sometimes it will just click. Sometimes NOTHING. I gave up after new battery, new cables and new bolts at ground and battery clamps. Been doing it for over 20 years. Twist the key a few times and it will remember what to do !
