My son was using my old (20+ yrs old) John Deere 160 lawn tractor for 20 minutes or so, stopped then an hour or so later got back on to finish up. He started the the tractor by depressing both the clutch and brake. It started fine but neither clutch or brake would release. It seems it is stuck in gear yet it will start fine and the deck can be engaged as well. It will not go back to neutral, but starts fine. When I raised the rear wheels off the ground I can freely spin the tires but while one spins in one direction the other spins in the opposite direction. Any ideas as to what might have happened or how to get her moving again?
