2004 john deere 110 tlb
I have a 2004 JD 110 tlb with the notorious cracked flywheel housing (M810326) and also the clutch housing (LVU800159). I got this machine on the cheap years back unaware of the crack or the bad rep. I'm sure it was cracked when I bought it 4 years ago. It's been a faithfully machine. Didn't notice the loose tower bolts until about a year of ownership. Then tightened and noticed the cracks and one bolt was stripped. Took it in and found that the tranny housing is also cracked. So a $3600 fix turned into $8700. Everything else has been perfect with the machine. If I can't find used housings to replace I will salvage for $3800. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The LVU800159 was used on the 110, 4610, 4710. Please note that they made two types of the 4X10 tractors you will need the compact, not the big Ag tractor.

The M810326 was used on the 110, 4500, 451, 4600, 4610, 4700, 4710.

There are a few salvage machines listed on machinery trader.

All States Ag has some salvage machines as well. They are in WI so they should be close to you.

Here is a post about the same problem.

$8,700 for repairs or $3,800 for salvage?
Unless your JD110 TLB has a bazillion hours, it seems as though it would still be worth fixing.
I very seriously doubt that you will find the used parts that you need.
As you know, the JD 110 TLB has a history of this failure, so others have probably scooped up any available parts.
I would be very leery of welding these failure prone housings, and then expecting the fix to last.

Thank you for the information. Found a clutch housing in Canada for $1000 less so far. Gotta look into shipping. Hard to find the bell housing with the 110 flywheel sensor provision, but been throwing the idea around of drilling and tapping the hole for it. Unit has 4400 hours on it but was owned by a utility contractor so they were tough hours. Also had a jackhammer hoe attachment which didn't come with unit.
