John Deere 1050 Cylinder Head Removal

Does anyone know if the rocker arm assembly has to be removed in order to remove the cylinder head on a John Deere 1050? This is a three cylinder diesel. I am replacing the cylinder head gasket.

I went ahead and removed them, took the little cap off of the valves, and removed the push rods. The cylinder head is now off.
