Jinmas for Logging?

Was talking to my father today about the Jinma tractors and he is very interested in them also. He would want to use the tractor for logging his own woods. He does a very selective cut (my brother is a forester and over sees the timber marking/cutting) every 15 or so years and it is due again. Was wondering if a 25hp or 35hp Jinma tractor would stand up to logging use? Would get used a lot for a few months in the summer and fall.

I'm sure a jinma or any other tractor can do looging if all the elements warrant a tractor. Pretty flat terrain. Not 36" 16 foot tree trunks etc. I pull a lot of stuff down with my 22 HP Jinma. Slow but sure ....If you're logging for a living get a REAL Skidder. For Occassional use your tractor will work if you use common sense>

Jinmas are exellent for logging. I´m using one for logging in my own woods. I got a 25hp with an skidtrailer that can load 1,5 ton and the Swedish dealer also sells the 30hp with an 3 ton skidtrailer. Most of the Jinmas sold here in Sweden is used for logging. The tractor is also completed with 2 protection plates to protect the underside and 2 bars to protect the driver from branches and the skid trailer has an hydraulic winsch. It works perfect for me, much more power than an ATV with a skidtrailer, not as big as a normal tractor with a big skidtrailer. Don´t have to cut big "roads" in the woods just to get to the timber.
