Hi,
I got Jinma 254 and the RPM get stuck. I rev it to 1500 to move and the it won't go down anymore. I stop and Restart the tractor, still 1500.

I check the linkage is free. Then I when higher 1900, no it stuck at 1900?

Any Idea? Anybody got a exploding view to the Pump?

thanks

If the lack of response you're describing is when using the hand throttle or foot throttle, I suggest you take another look at the linkage before considering any pump repair/replacement. The linkage is a little more complicated than is really necessary. And as a result can hang or stick when not installed or adjusted correctly.

Now if you disconnect the linkage altogether - and have the same problem when trying to increase/decrease engine speed right at the pump - then you're likely looking at a governor issue.

Gotta be linkage problem somewheres between hand and foot throttles and pump,,do you know how hand throttle works in connection to foot throttle,[in other words if you pushed hand throttle 1/2 way up,it will stay there untill you lower it,so that makes sense to what you are describing],,

I check the linkage and the lever on the pump is at the beginning position so it is not the linkage

Make sure there is clean oil in the sump of the injector pump.

Well if its not the linkage, you'll need some smarter minds than mine.
If you disconnected the linkage and just gave it throttle by hand[on the pump],wonder what would happen,to lazy to go out and look at mine to see how,but it should be not hard, course if you say it ain't linkage its not.

Try increasing the RPM at the injector pump. If when you release the RPMs fall to normal you eliminated the linkage as the problem. Richard

If you can figure out where they came from maybe one of the dealers has a junk one laying around they can steal the parts from so you can fix yours. If not you will need a new pump.

Just curious, how did the oil look and when was the last time it was changed????

Just so there's no misunderstanding, Chris meant the oil in the injection pump - as opposed to in the engine.

Or do you have an external oil line lubricating your pump with engine oil?

Yes, Greg is right. I was talking about the injector pump oil. Most injector pumps have separate oil reservoirs for lubing them, completely independent from the engine oil. Is this the oil you are talking about or are you referring to the engine oil????

Yes the oil in the pump is independent from the engine but the same kind

I change the pump and all my problem I solve.

There is actually a circle on the pump teeth and 2 circle on the engine gear.

The circle have to be in between the 2 others.
