Kubota 7610
I've read all the posts for the Jinma 6 and am ready to take the plunge (if I can find one), however, I'm not convinced I have enough tractor to carry such a heavy machine. I believe the B7610 is only 1367 lbs and the LA352 loader adds another 500 lbs.

Can anyone advise me on this?

Thanks

The Jinma chipper doesn't weight that much more than a brush hog. Check the specs on your 3PT hitch but I am pretty sure the 7610 could lift the chipper without any problem at all. You also have about 20hp at the PTO which should be fine.

I've got a 7610 as well and will watch this thread with interest.

B7610 specs from kubota site:
Motor is 24 HP
PTO is actually 18 HP
Hitch @ lift point 1,356 pounds
24" behind lift point 1,058 pounds

The hydro trans robs 6 horsepower...but my question is....if the tractor is stationary is some portion of that "lost" 6 HP available at the PTO??? Pardon my hydrostatistcally-chalenged question /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I just got the manual for the Farm Pro, which I have been told is the same as the Jinma. Manual only talks about 540 pto speed required. I have seen on retail sellers web sites that they recommend a 25 hp tractor. Have spoken with people who have this chipper with 20 to 26 hp tractor, and they have told be it does ok, no real problem, will bog the engine a little with the big stuff. My understanding is that it works much like a rotary cutter with a big fly wheel that generates a great deal of momentum to make the cutting work. That makes sense with the smaller hp tractor that bogs a little with the big part of the limb, but the momentum carries it through and within seconds your chipping a smaller limb as it makes its way through the chipper. Hope this helps.

Have a Jinma on the back of my B7800. I don't think you'll have trouble lifting the device... but be aware that the center of gravity of that chipper is high (the flywheel). My larger B7800 gets tippy on hillsides that I normally transverse with no problem.

Filling your rear tires would help, as would shortening the PTO shaft and mounting it closer to the tractor if possible.

As far as chipping, don't think you'll have a problem but you may not be able to chip up to the 6 inch capacity of the chipper. Mine will choke on large diameter hardwoods, but overall I've been very pleased.

The Jinma 6" woodchipper weghts 825 lbs,We have put them on as small as a 20 PTO hp tractor and it's works fine, it will prob. limit you to a little bit smaller material than 6". We have sold over a hundred of these units with very few problems, we also keep all the replacement parts in stock for them. You can PM me for any other information.
