Hi,
I think that after having my machine apart for over 2 years, I have misplaced the proper connection of the steering hoses. I have one hydraulic pump. The steering box has two ports facing out the right side and two ports facing left. The left ones go to the steering cylinder. The two right ones go to the diverter valve. At the valve, one hose has a banjo fitting and connects to the top hole. The other is a straight swivel connector and goes into the bottom hole.
Question for those with same tractor or one of the helpful dealers out there: Which of these two hoses connects to the top hole on the steering box?
I think I may have them crossed. I have no power steering and have blew the pump seals twice in 15 minutes with no hydraulic load other than strong-arm steering it. This is with a 2400psi external relief valve plumbed directly behind the pump on the pressure hose.
I have disassembled the valve and find nothing visibly wrong in there.
