Jinma 284 Tank Fitting Size

Anyone know what pipe size of the tank outlet fitting that connects to the fuel bowl. Mine uses the locking nut style fuel bowl and is currently in service.

I'm considering repiping a different type of fuel bowl assembly in that area.
I would like to add a pipe-to-barb fitting at the tank with reducer if necessary but do not know the thread size, more than likely metric.

You should not have a barbed fitting directly off of the tank. Bad Ju-Ju. Hard pipe a stop valve first, then the barbed fitting. Yes, the fitting sizes are metric - available at most all plumbing suppliers.

My JM354 got Americanized 1/4 npt tap used on it then a standard issue needle vavle, best mode I did to the tractor. Those factory twist shut off valve combo with sediment bowl were just too small of orifice for enough fuel. I buy clean fuel and Keep it clean and change out the spin on filter once a year. Whenever I can, I tap out the thread to pipe thread. Me and the local hydraulic fitting supply store have had some rude conversations over metric fittings and banjo fittings,(I made the mistake of telling them it went on a Chinese Tractor) so, I try not to use their sevices more than I have to. bjr
