Jinma 284 fuel filter change

Hi. I have a 2005 Jinma 284, and I'm planning on full fluid change tomorrow. I've never changed a filter on a diesel motor before. Anything special I need to do? Should I fill the new filter with fuel before screwing it onto the spindle?

Yes fill it with fuel, and before you tighten it all the way up give the primer pump on the injector pump a few pumps then finish tightening the filter.Should start up and go
