Jinma 254
Hey there,

Another clutch adjustment question incoming. I have hard time understanding my jinma 254 manual for Clutch adjustment.

Quote: " The adjusting steps are as follows: Adjust the length of adjusting bolt (11) to make the distance between 3 release levers (19) and the end faces of PTO clutch pressure plate (4) is 96.8mm, and the distance difference between 3 release levers and PTO clutch pressure plate is no more than 0.1mm; after adjustment ラtighten it with nut M101"

So my trouble beings with - exactly where should I look for 96,8mm distance (yes, clearly not a technical mind. I don't get which one is PTO clutch pressure plate)? I am attaching 2 pictures, I guess in one of red bolt marked areas I should do 96.8mm check.

I did found some picture guided tutorials here on clutch adjustment, yet I am still confused.

Thanks,

Here is a easy clutch adjustment for you ,Take the pin out of the Clutch lever coming out of the side of the tractor under the floor board.,When you look at the clutch thru the access hole, you will see the 3- fingers that are pushed in by the Throw out bearing, with the clutch lever disconnect you want a 1/8" between the face of the clutch finger and the throw out bearing ( we bent a piece of 1/8" flat bar to get in there ), make sure to do ALL 3- Fingers the same distance, that will adjust your main clutch. The PTO adjustment you will see 3- sets of double nuts the one closetest to the pressure plate is larger, you want to put a feeler gauge between the large nut and the pressure plate .030 thousands, loosen or tighten those to get that clearance. again make sure they are all the same.Once you have completed these adjustments, you will want to adjust your clutch pedal free play.you should have 1" of free play ( Ablility to push the clutch pedal this min, pressure to achieve the 1") turn the adjuster on the end of the clutch rod in or out to get this, put the pin back in you should be good to go.
