3-Point Hitch jinma 254 hydraulic issue ?

i have a jinma 254 bought it new few months back used it for the first time yesterday prior to that i changed all fluids but have not flushed and rechanged trans or hydraulic fluid.so yesterday i was playing around with new boxblade just getting a feel for everything and everything seemed ok, then today i was using box blade to smooth my driveway out and i noticed that i couldnt raise the box blade unless i gave it gas. I know if you give it gas it usually goes up faster but if i dont give it gas it will actual fall down when i try to raise it. yesterday it worked fine at any speed any suggestions??

i'm not positive but i think that only controls the speed when you lower it but i'll give it a try .thanks

Be careful, that knob is very sensitive. Be sure that that blade is fully down. if you close the knob the pressure in the system will lock it in place. Start by closing the knob and opening it 1/8 turn at a time.

Your hydraulic loop might be sucking air. Check the hydraulic fluid level. On Chinese tractors you unscrew the dipstick, wipe it off, then just set it back in the hole. Remove to check level, top up as required. I repeat, set it ON the hole to check levels, rather than screw it all the way back in.

And since you haven't flushed the hydraulic system, another issue might be a clogged up or collapsed hydraulic suction screen. If so equipped, it's located inside the hydraulic sump. You have to disconnect the steel line that goes into the sump on the left front corner (as viewed from the seat). Remove 3 bolts from the three sided flange, pull straight up. If there's nothing there but a suction tube, then you likely have external filtration.

The knob under the seat is the flow control valve. It only controls how fast the hydraulic fluid returns to the sump. The purpose is strictly to regulate how fast or slow an implement is lowered. You want the fluid to flow slow when you have a heavy implement mounted, faster for a lighter implement.

Check the hydraulic fluid first make sure it's full. Does the steering work OK ?,if yes It's prob.. some debris in the diverter/ Priority valve. It's located on the right side of the tractor behind the brake pedals

fluid wasnt even reading on dipstick. hopefully that takes care of it.while im on the subject of the hydraulics i can not find the drain plug for the hydraulic sump and i was told by the service tech that it doesnt have one and that you have to use a siphon pump to drain it. does this sound right to you guys

Look on the back of the tractor,there is a plate with about 8-bolts that hold your 3-point top link connector,look on the lower left side of that plate is the drain plug. Maybe you can tell the service tech where it's at now

For the record for my specific machine, if I tighten that little handle, the 3pt won't lower when pushin the control rod to the lowering position. If I loosen it, it will allow it to lower via the control rod. If I loosen it too much, it will lower on its own without use of the control handle. If I turn the little handle to a sweet spot, I can raise and lower it without too many problems.

-I have not checked my hydraulic fluid level; that could be a contributing factor for my anomalies ( I am going to be doing major work on it over the next two weeks -- clutch r&R, flush, etc. etc.)

sorry guy's guys i should have told you it was the service tech from rural king where i bought the tractor lol. drain plug was where you said. this websites the best thing since sliced bread you guys have saved me alot of fustration. thanks

Im in the process of tearing mine down for a clutch and noticed that my 3pt control valve feels wierd. I never noticed this when in the drivers seat. when I move the handle to the lowering position, it feels like there is a restriction in the valve- maybe blown out o rings? as far as I could find out this is only replaced entirely; there is no rebuild kit.

i've owned a tractor for exactly 2 months so i'm probably not the guy to ask but i would check some of the things that guys have recommended earlier in this thread. let me know how things work out when you flush your hydraulic system thats the last thing i have to flush on mine.

Each and every sump on these tractors has a drain plug and the tranny and front axle have multiple...

Skip your dealer and service toad for info and come to us. He will end up costing you in the long run.

Seriously, you will get much better advice on this forum than you will from RK's "service tech" - at least most of us know where the drain plugs are and what fluids should go in which hole. Some of the guys here could probably build a tractor from scratch if they wanted to.
