Jinma 245 rear lift cyl rebuild

Good morning,

I am attemoting to reseal the rear lift cylinder. Ive bought the rebuild kit, drained the fluid, took off the cover and am looking in. Its dirty and the filter screen is gone. Will I be able to get the piston out from the back(and how) or do I have to take off the bigger cover with the shifters to push it out some how?
