Jinma 184
/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gifWill I have had a chance to test out the Jinma 184. What a tractor! it has more power than the Yanmar 2210BD that I had.
I did some cuting with the 5ft rotary cutter (no problem). I also put the 5 1/2 ft box blade on and worked on the riding arena that I am making for my wife. The 184 pulled that box blade with no problem, and I want you to know I moved some dirt.
What a great tractor for the price $7000.00 with Koyker 160 Loader from EFC equipment.
The Yanmar was 22hp at the PTO and 25 at the drive train and the Jinma is 18 at the PTO or so they say. The Jinma would work circles around the Yanmar 2210BD.

Great price. Is that 4wd and fully assembled for that price, or do you have to put it together?

If it was all of that for the $$$ I assume you bought it. Gonna post some pics ???? Dave

The Jinma 184 is a 4wd and what a work horse /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif. I purchased it new fully assembled from Buck at EFC equipment . I had purchased the Yanmar 2210Bd used from Buck and had some problems with it that I couldn't fix myself. Buck took the Yanmar back and gave me what I paid for it towards a new Jinma. Thank you Buck /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Isn't that the Place ashley judd escapted from driveing A kubota and drove it off the ferry hand cuffed to Tommy Lee Jones ? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Theese are starting to get pretty popular here. There is a dealer not far off the path between my home and camp. At that price I am suprised we dont see even more. Are they liquid or air cooled ?? Get some photos of the beast so we can have a look see. Did you get the factory FEL or a koyker ? Dave

It's great to here some positive feedback from a Jinma owner; maybe it will help to squelch some of the negative vibes so many non-Chinese tractor owners spread around ("I heard they're awful - you can't get parts - they're broke down all the time") I'm sure it didn't hurt that you got it from a solid reputable dealer like Buck. It is too bad that you had bad luck with a Yanmar - I love 'em. But I like the chinese tractors that I've seen (Homier Farm Pros). Congrats on your new purchase.

It's probably okay that you say the chinese tractor performs better than a Yanmar; just don't pick on any of the alleged Big 3 or you'll be in a heap of trouble - there's obviously no way that a cheaply built chinese tractor at half the price can possibly compete with one of the big 3 (that last part is sarcasm, if you can't tell.)

Ya know I saw that movie and I think it was Whidbey Island. I think I have to rent that movie and watch it again.
The Jinma is water cooled and the Fel is not a Jinma but a koyker 160.
I really wanted the Yanmar to work, I liked the shuttle shift alot. I am geting used to the shifting on the Jinma and I think with time I maybe almost as fast as the shuttle shift.
I will post pictures as soon as I can.

I have a Jinma 224 and think it's great. I also own 3 Japanese tractors. The Jinma does an impressive job for it's power rating and offers a super value. That said, I do believe an owner should be somewhat mechanically inclined and be willing and proactive on maintenance. I'd post a picture, but have to figure out the system first as I think file size is too large..

Michael,
It's is great to hear that you are so happy with your Jinma. I am curious about how the two cylinder runs. Is it noisy or rough running? I had a Yanmar 2210 and if I operated it for any time, I had to use hearing protection or I would hear the infamous "Yanmar Hammer" for several hours afterward ringing in my ears.
Thanks,
Cameron

I must confess I have never driven a 3 cylinder tractor. So I have nothing to compare the loudness or vibration of the 2 cylinder to. It is loud, and it does vibrate, and I wear ear protection. But it is not as loud as the Yanmar 2210Bd, maybe a better muffler on the Jinma.
