FIXED! JD4410 Hydro....won't move forward or reverse

I have a 4410 with 675 hours on it, last night while mowing it would not move forward or reverse. Engine and hydraulics are running fine.
I checked the owners manual and searched the forums here as well. I believe it might be a clogged side suction filter. Tonight when I tried to move it again I noticed the "manual" light flashing, one short light then three long lights, like a Morse code signal.
Does the warning light sequence mean anything?
Does it sound like a fluid or filter issue?
Or maybe something else?

Thanks for any advice or pointers to the right direction.

I don't know what the code stands for but make sure that the plug on for the seat safety is plugged in. Next go under the tractor by the hydro pedals and unplug and plug back in each pedal plug severall times. Then on the final time take and make sure each wire is individually pushed into the corresponding plug. I'm not talking about pushing the plug together. I'm talking about taking each wire and individually pushing them into the plug while it's attached to the opposite plug. Good Luck!!

Yes, the flashes give you a place to start looking.

The code you gave is code 10. The calculated value for the coil resistance exceed the valid range due to open or short.

The controller does not see the potentiometer voltage. I would start with the previous post and see if those actions help. When the controller see the right voltage range it will start working. Fix the problem and it will move again.

If that doesn't help, are you familiar with a digital voltmeter?

Thanks for those quick replies. I will try the plugs first. I looked at them and there were all connected, but one of them may be loose. I'll double check the seat safety switch too.
I do have a digital voltmeter, that can be my next step with your guidance.
Thanks again.

The connectors can corrode inside. What unplugging and plugging back in the connectors does is shine up the contacts again. John Deere has problems with those plugs not making a good connection. That is why you push each wire in individually. They come out a little bit and that is another cause of poor connections. It cost me $300 to learn that. I hope that's all that's wrong with your tractor.

I have not had a chance to check these connections yet. I'm hoping that is the issue too, because I can fix that!

Do you know what the different color connectors are for? There are 4 of them - red, yellow, green and another one I can't remember sitting here in my office.

I had to go out and look because I'm thinking electrical connectors and I don't remember there being that many different colors under the tractor.

They are for attachments that use hydraulics like a front end loader or a snow blower. The long lever to the right side of the seat is used to operate anything hooked up to those hydraulic lines. The other color is black.

The codes are posted over at the GTT forum in the Technical Library. Most often the eHydro problems stem from a bad MWFD sensors, basically it's like a speed or throttle position sensor in a car or torn wiring at the pedals.

Thank you for the pointers, it was a very simple fix. It was not the colored connectors that were loose but a connector behind them, two wires ripped right out of the quick connect. Pushed them back in and all was well. I'll wrap with tape to help prevent a recurrence.

I feared the worst when it quit, but thanks to TBN guidance I can finish mowing!

The wires at the base of the hydro pedals are the first place to start.

Glad it was a easy fix.
