hello all

i just wanted to find out if the JD 4310 and DX33 are basically the same tractor spec wise??

if they both cost the same which one would be better deal??

seems JD is heavier (2900 vs 2474), less clearance (10.5 vs 14) and slightly larger with slightly less hp

and what is the difference between transmission/live rear pto (DX33) and independent rear pto (4310)??

also are the 430 and LX114 FEL's comparable??

thanks

You basically need to look at the specs and see what seems to fit better for your needs. You've got two nice machines picked out - you just need to decide...

Have you driven either one yet? By driving I should say test them - use the controls - see what fits better. I recall some of the NH's I looked at had a very cool loader control. You can see the machine I chose, but that had to do with price as well... in my area the NH's I was shopping were quite a bit more than the comparable Bota and JD's.

I can't tell you what to get - but all of us will help you get to what's right for you.

Good Luck.

i have been on both a few times times, each has things i like and do not like.

i also like both dealers, and believe each could support me quite well, the case dealer is offering free p/u and drop off for warranty and service, and his implement prices are a little less. i am trying to get the deere dealer to give me free p/u and drop off for warranty and service, will see...

kubota and NH dealers are not as aggresive on price. JD has the biggest discount off of MSRP so far, then Case. i think deere is trying to get the old 4x10 series out the door to make way for the new 3x20...

Boze man, I looked at the same models when shopping. At that time, NH had a different loader. I wanted to be able to handle mini round bales, and the NH couldn't, but the 4310 could. I have been using mine with the bales for a while, and am very pleased.

I said MINI bales!!!
