JD335 Lawn Tractor - Interlock Circuit Board

Has anyone out there replaced the Interlock Circuit Board in their JD 335 or JD325? If you have, what tractor failure(s) led you to change the circuit board and did it fix the problem?

We changed ours on our 335 after key was turned off took another 10 seconds before motor stopped it didn't help. Also changed the fuel shutoff solenoid that didn't help.

My 345 has had the circuit board replaced a couple of times. Each time the tractor starter failed to operate. Until the circuit board was replaced, I had to jumper across the starter solenoid in order for it start.

Thanks for sharing on the 345 & 335 faults so far. Other folks - please keep the comments coming. My problem is an engine stoppage after about 5 min. w/mower engaged. After 3-4 min. it will start again. I suspect a component on the circuit board is overheating & failing; then component starts functioning afte a few minutes of cool down. Hoping someone else out there has had same symptoms & found the cause.

Did you onhook your safety switch going to your mower deck to see if that's the problem.

How long does it run without the mower engaged? Or is it about the same 5 minutes.

This doesn't sound "electrical" to me ---- have you checked your fuel cap vent to make sure it's not plugged??

CHEVYFLAN: Are you referring to the safety sw. that inengages the mower when you touch the back up pedal? In any event, my engine shutdowns have always ocurred during forward motion.

I've installed a new fuel cap and have also run with the cap partially unscrewed to allow venting. I've replaced everything in the fuel sys. from the pump, back thru the filter and all feed lines. Only thing not changed is the carb. & the fuel shutoff valve.
