My JD322 going down hill runs away more than I thought normal. In my garage I shut it off and tried to push it and I could without much effort. I checked the freewheel valves and they were clean and not worn looking. I replaced all the O rings on them.
I bought the unit used in the Spring. I changed the hydro fluid and filter. I think it had still been using type F fluid. I switched to what Deere recommended.
I'm not sure if the tractor was ever towed without the freewheel lever engaged and what damage that could do? I was wondering if there is something else I might check to correct this or do I have a worn hydro unit? It operates ok in all other respects.
