JD318 Powerflo Bagger Mystery - Can you solve?

Hi guys -

I just purchased a powerflo bagger for my 50" deck on a JD318. I've figured most of it out, but I can't figure out how to mount the plate that connects to the differential/back of the tractor. Do I remove the original tow plate and substitute this one? Do I sandwich this plate in between the original plate and the differential? The manuals I purchased from Deere leave no clue at all! I'm mystified. My thought is that if I do a substitution, the replacement plate doesn't look strong enough for towing things. If I sandwich it, it doesn't seem like it would fit correctly, as the original plate is longer, and takes four bolts on the bottom, and the mounting plate for the bagger only has two. If you have a powerflo with your JD, can you clarify? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I just got a 322. It appears to have had a powerflo bagger on it at one time. I have the rear plate you descibe on the back along with the orginal hitch. Can't recall exactly how it is attached without going and looking at it. Seems to me the bagger plate was above the hitch.

I looked yesterday. The plate for the bagger on mine is above the hitch plate. My bagger plate also has two holes in it for mounting. The bager plate uses the rear most holes that attach the tractor hitch. When installed the holes in both plates line up so you have a center hole for attachments such as pull behind carts.
