I have also been lurking on the forum for a while and have made a few posts and am still amazed at the great source of information. Thanks again. I am just about ready to make the deal on the 2210. The dealer has given me what I think is a decent price according to what I have read here.
$12,500 for the 2210, FEL, and 62c MMM. I was thinking about asking the dealer if he would throw in the IMATCH Hitch but when I asked about it he didn't think it would be of much value to me because it didn't work with many implements other than JD and they sold a lot of off brand implements. Does anyone have any thoughts on this. Also I was interested in the Femco Folding ROPS (I didnt ask the dealer yet). I emailed Femco and they said I should be able to purchase it through the dealer. Has anyone had any experience with this.

Can't imagine the salesman saying that to you, unless he realizes you are going to try to get it thrown in with the deal. Its another $200 out of his pocket.

On the other hand, the I-match on the 2210 limits the capacity of the 3pt, as it has weight, and it extends the attachments out further, both of which subtract from the capacity.

Getting so attachments are coming around and conforming more and more to the standards that fit the quick tach's, so being afraid of the other attachments for the no-fit reason doesn't hold water (unless the salesman has you sized up for some of his non-standard attachments that he wants to get rid of /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif ). I'd suggest getting the I-match, and then letting him know you will buy attachments that fit, not the ones that don't fit. Seems you would be the winner there. (just MO) And you can make non-standard ones fit, with a little modification.

Don't know what you're looking at outfitting your 2210 with, but my limited experience with implements on a similar sized MF GC2300 is that stuff just isn't that heavy/awkward that it can't be convinced to go on with a little pushing and pulling.

As for the dealer telling you it won't fit other brands, I think you're the second person I've heard that from (unless you posted it earlier /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif). What is it with these dealers? Do they not know the market or do they know something we don't? If they are intentionally misleading people, that's wrong and I'd be shopping for a new dealer. If they're going to jerk you around on the little stuff, how will they treat you on bigger items?

If you do a search under my user name - CHUCKG - you will find photos and quite abit of information on the 2210 folding ROPS. I am very well pleased with mine.

I chose not to get the Imatch because I already had most of my implements and more than half would have needed some kind of minor mod to meet the dimensional spec of the Imatch hitch. I don't think you dealer is lying to you, and perhaps the oposite--he might sincerely think you wouldn't get much utilty out of it.

If I were starting from scratch, that wouldn't be an issue becasue I would simply make sure all the implements I bought have the right lower pin spread and mast height above the pins.

Having said that, if I were going back and forth very frequently between using a ballast box and mowing or other turf work, I would seriously consider it. As was mentioned, most implements are manageble excepr for a ballast box with 400-700 pounds in it, and perhaps a box blade. I would ask them to toss it in to seal the deal, or perhaps a couple of other add-ons like work lights and block heaters. The worst thing that will happen is he will say "no." /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

willer65,
I have a I-Match on my 2210 and love it. I messed up and did not get it worked into the deal for the tractor and paid almost full price. I use a LX-4 and Box Blade and it is worth every dime to me to not have to wrestle implements. I am not a little guy and I can get the implements on without it, but it is not worth the chance of lost income if I hurt my back. I understand that some implements other then JD will not work but that has not been a problem for me.
