JD x734 PTO question

I recently got a 60” HC deck for my used 2016 X734. On my first cut I did something wrong that caused the PTO for the mower to stop engaging. When I pull the PTO switch, I get a flashing symbol on the instrument cluster that indicates “the safety interlock system prevented operation due to improper use of the PTO system.”

Is this an issue that will require maintenance, or can I reset it somehow? I would appreciate any help anyone could offer. Thanks

Parking brake still on? Moving in reverse when you pull it? Those would both do it. Also if it is overheated it will do that.

How old is the unit? The X734 came with a 4 year 700 hour bumper to bumper warranty.

it is a 2016 with lots of hours. I found out the cause of my troubles - the back of the PTO shaft had slipped off. I'm still getting used to the machine. Thanks for your help!
