The fuel injection is worth every penny on my X485-

My neighbor just picked up his 2305 today. It is a nice looking machine. I am interested to see how it does for him. I must say, though, that the X series machines do not seem to get the credit they perhaps deserve. They are great machines and will do what many of these sub cuts will do, if not more, assuming that it does not involve hydraulic work. I would probably still have my 595 x series if it would have been able to lift two attachments at once and if the loader would have lifted more. It pulled a box blade like crazy and would move dirt or snow better than I could have hoped. It pulled out neighbors' cars in winter (and my wife's-twice) and did so on very little fuel. In the summer it cut the grass as well as a walk behind mower. All in all, an excellent machine. I just wish John Deere would upgrade the hydraulics and then it would be almost perfect.

Haven't seen any in this area: Dealers tell me it will be the middle of September before they have any on hand.

That's odd. I consider my home state to be more than just a little bit backward and behind-the-times, but my local JD dealer had a 2305 on his lot almost a month ago.

PS Ditto the raves on the X-series. My X495 is nothing short of awesome. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have had my x585 since Oct 03 and have played with it out in deep snow and with the 4wd engaged, boy does it go. Had only got stuck one time and realized that I forgot to put it in 4wd. I engaged the 4wd and had no problem after that. I had to take back the 585 to the dealer because it had problems lifting 250 lbs to full height. They checked the hyd. pressure and it was only putting out 995 psi so they ordered and installed shims in the pump and now I can lift 640lbs to 52 inches. The dealer said the bucket would probably lift higher but needed more ballast in the back. The machine was getting a little tipsy. I have both rear wheels filled plus the six weights hanging off the back. So if you want more lift capacity have the dealer check out the system and ask them to install some shims, you will be surprised. P.S. The HDAP tires helps out alot to.

We are always behind here!

You should see the look on some folks face when You ask about a product & they have obviously never heard of it, even though they are a Dealer for the Brand.

I think We must be the ones bringing up the rear. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
