Jd model 7100 corn planter

Just seen another post on a corn planter and bends I'm not really sure what section of TBN would be appropriate. Anyhow I'm looking to buy a 7100 planter. I know these are 3pt which is what I need. I'm looking at 2 or 3 row 30in spacing. I've noticed these seem to all have 1 center wheel transmission drive that works both hoppers. I currently plant with a similar planter but it has a rear wheel behind each hopper that works the driveline. In planting uneven ground or clotted dirt if both wheels are not touching it seems to skip here and there. Does a center wheel drive do a better job of not skipping on uneven ground?
