I'm planning to add a TNT kit to my JD 4720. I already have the JD dual diverter hydraulics kit that runs off the FEL joystick to run the TNT kit.
I've done some research here on TBN regarding TNT kits and it seems that a majority of the TNT users recommend TNT cylinders with "double pilot check valves" to prevent the TNT cylinders from changing position due to "leak down".
I cannot find any information on the JD TNT kit on JD's website that specifically says wether or not it has the double pilot check valves. I did call a JD dealer and talked with a representative that seemed to know all about the JD TNT kit and he said two things.
First, their kit does not have double pilot check valves. Second, he said they are not necessary on my 4720 because their hydraulic system is an open center system and, by design, the FEL joystick valve body (which is diverted to the rear hydraulic outlets with the JD dual diverter kit) does not have any leak down issues. Therefore the TNT cylinders will also not have any leak down issues. He specifically said the JD TNT kit on the 4720 using the JD dual hydraulic diverter kit will not change position once set.
Does any one else have the JD TNT kit? If so, assuming you are powering its hydraulics via the JD dual diverter kit, do you experience any leak down of the TNT cylinders?
